to strengthen the human, institutional and financial capacity to enable
the finalization of the NCCAS and its presentation to Parliament and
Cabinet. |

The
project proposal "Finalisation
of the National Climate Change Adaptation Strategy" submitted by the
EPA was accepted for funding
under the CC DARE Programme, after assessment by the CC DARE review

Current

The
project was initiated in August 2009. |
Country status
in brief |
Ghana is
signatory to the UNFCCC and prepared and submitted her initial national
communication in 2001. As Ghana is not a least developed country, the
elaboration of a National Climate Change Strategy (NCCAS) has been
initiated as an alternative to a NAPA. |
